Are you looking for an ancestor or relative who you think is buried in Hyde Park Cemetery, but you have no idea where? Then you need the Friends of Hyde Park Cemetery's 'Grave Finder' service. Here's how it works. Purpose of the Grave Finder Service To provide detailed information, including photographs upon request, regarding grave locations and details of burials, in return for a nominal fee. Information to be supplied by you, the Requestor The information that you need to provide to FoHPC is set out in the Grave Finder application form. (With this MS Word version you can type straight into the form before printing it, to then post to us with your fee. If you are unable to open this MS Word version, here is a link to a pdf version of the form, which you will need to print before completing by hand). What the Friends of Hyde Park Cemetery will provide (where available) > Transcript of the relevant entry in the Burial Register > Transcript of the relevant entry in the Grave Register > Plan of Hyde Park Cemetery showing Sections > Plan of relevant Section of the cemetery with the grave in question highlighted > Where requested, a minimum of two photographs of the grave or, if unmarked, its approximate location. > Where requested, if the grave has an inscribed headstone or kerbs or similar, a minimum of one photograph of the inscription, if it is visible. Terms and Conditions > The Friends of Hyde Park Cemetery cannot guarantee that the search will be successful, but the fee will still be payable by the Requestor > The fee is payable per deceased person searched for although, where possible, FoHPC will also provide the names of all other persons buried in the grave in question, at no extra charge. Fees > If the information can be sent to the Requestor by email: > £5.00 for transcripts and plans, but excluding photographs of the grave > £7.50 for transcripts, plans and photographs. > If hard copies have to be sent to the Requestor by Royal Mail: > £7.50 for transcripts and plans, but excluding photographs of the grave > £10.00 for transcripts, plans and photographs.
